Predictive Astrology and Zodiac Signs Forecasting Your Life Events
There are many techniques used by astrologers to take a glimpse the future of a person. There is an array of techniques that are
utilized to make predictions for—and plan—the future. This forecasting of one’s future can be done through predictive astrology or through using our zodiac signs.
Predictive Astrology involves utilizing tools that will aid in predicting upcoming events and planning the best times to make changes in your life. There are various techniques in predictive astrology; however, two of the most preferred techniques are:
Transits use a method of interpreting the ongoing movement of the planets as they transit the horoscope. Changes of sign, or house, and to the aspects or angles the transiting planets make with the natal chart are given particular attention. Transits provide valuable insights into the timing of events, often to the very day of occurrence.
Another method is secondary progressions. It includes a technique of progressing the horoscope forward from the moment of the birth into the future. It is ‘a-day-for-a-year’ type of progression, meaning each day in the ephemeris represents one year of an individual’s life. Particular notice is given to changes of zodiac signs and houses and to the angles or aspects the progressed planets form with the original natal chart. It primarily entails psychological developments from within the person.
Zodiac signs signify the twelve equal segments or divisions of the zodiac. A zodiac is a thin ring of constellations of the sky on either side of the ecliptic. It represents those signs that divide the ecliptic into twelve equal regions of celestial longitude. It literally means “circle of animals”, given the fact that most of the zodiac signs use animals; however, some are people.
The zodiac is split into 12 signs, each 30 degrees long. The twelve signs are believed to represent twelve basic personality types or characteristic modes of expression. There are also sun and moon signs, which both depend on your date of birth.
In Western Astrology, separately, the zodiac signs are also connected with classical elements of Water, Air, Earth and Fire; they have traits that are cardinal, mutable / changeable and fixed and relate to each of the twelve houses in your personal horoscope.
Fire and Air signs are regarded as positive or extrovert, masculine signs; while Water and Earth signs are believed to be negative, introvert, feminine signs.
However, in Chinese astrology, the elements differ from their Western counterparts. Air is not one of the elements; instead, Wood and Metal are elements alongside Fire, Water, and Earth.
Additionally, the elements also rule various facets of one’s personality. They are also assigned to a range of other things such as directions (North, South, East and West), colors, seasons, and planets.
Together with the twelve animal signs, the five elements function in a sixty year calendar. The four elements materialize in the calendar in both their yin and yang forms. They are recognized as the eight heavenly stems.
So with these techniques in mind, it is now up to you to choose what techniques you are going to use to forecast some of your life events. Just remember that these tools are just a guide, it is still up to you to map out your life.
